San Ramon (Spanish: San Ramón; Spanish for 'Saint Raymond') is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States, located within the San Ramon Valley, and 34 miles east of San Francisco. San Ramon's population was estimated as 75,995 in 2019 by the US Census Bureau,[9] making it the 4th largest city in Contra Costa County, behind Richmond, Concord and Antioch.

The Town of Danville[12] is located in the San Ramon Valley in Contra Costa County, California. It is one of the incorporated municipalities in California that uses "town" in its name instead of "city". The population was 42,039 at the 2010 census. In 2020, Danville was named "the safest town in California"
